Is this an Alpinestars dressed up as a Scott?

Just got this old beast, its dresed up (decals) as a Scott FX20. It's Alloy & been badly painted, under which is the original purple, but still no decals. It looks like an Alpinestars, but not quite! can anyone help identify it?

THE best bike you've ever seen....ever....?

I always liked the early Pace bikes, not had one, but always wanted one, anyone got any pic's? I think the nicest shaped, build & quality, coupled with lightweight of frame & strength etc, must be the Chas Roberts mountainbikes, reminds me abit of the Skyway TA in the Bmx world.

    Aspire Velotech

I got a wheel true stand/tool from them, you can fit it to a stand or stand on a bench, can't seem to get them like this in the UK, small and managable, works too! can do most size wheels (won't take a 14mm axle though), not built a wheel with it yet, but have straightened a few, reasonable...

    curtis race

As for value on the Curtis frame of yours? who knows! I thought that one on ebay would be lucky to get £150, I was hoping to get it at £80. but it sold for £210. So if I thought yours was worth at least £300. then maybe you should add some (say £100), but then again a complete bike, all...

Cool! tell him to give me a shout if he wants to sell any of it: info@re-buy-cycle.co.uk. Back in the 90's me and my boy used to watch the Curtis team race at many events, do they still have a race team?

    curtis race

Curtis I've just got hold of another Curtis bmx, but the downtube has been repaired & not the best welding job I've seen! so do you think Mr Curtis would repair the frame with a new T45 downtube?

    curtis race

Good stuff! I like that story, are you a journalist by chance! I had a Navajo bmx that was very similar to the Curtis build, I think that too was T45, it was a junior, but nice build quality, I'll try to add a photo (if anyone's interested), does anyone know of this make? is it a possible...

Love them Curtis bikes you've got, particularly that cruiser. The best of British in my opinion & appear to still be going strong with their jump/dirt bikes. I've got an old Curtis Frame & forks that I havn't got round to getting re-chromed yet (too expensive) did contact Curtis to find out...

    1983 Kuwahara Phase1 team

Great looking bikes, saw a couple of these at the Radbmx meet last year at Milton Keynes race track. They're doing another meet this year if anyone's in the area, lots of real classic bmx on show, and raced by their owners too! I'm not promoting them, but check them out at http://www.radbmx.co.uk/
