    My Peugeot PX10-DU has a Vitus 979 frame and it's in great condition after 25+ years, no idea how much it's been used in that time but judging by a few scrapes here and there it has been used.

    Polishing aluminium

    Re-anodising is definately an option and would be best long-term. Otherwise I don't see any problem with sanding smooth and polishing but to get an even finish you'll have to take the anodised layer off all over and then you'll need to re-polish periodically. Cheaper if you polish it, easier...

    That looks great, I have the same model but am currently changing it to singlespeed. Are those the original (or original style) decals? Mine has lost all its decals, or I've removed the remains of them. The lugs polish up a treat don't they? I'm working my way around with Autosol and an old...

    Peugeot Comete seatpost size?

    Are your Cometes in good shape? I bought a Comete frame from the bay last year and when it came it had cracks in the lugs at the top and bottom of both the seat stays. I sent it back as I had visions of myself skewering my behind on a broken seat stay. :cry:
