    1997 Trek 9800 SHX OCLV

Well I have old age (so take "ride hard" for what it's worth) and lightness (65 kg) in my corner!

    1997 Trek 9800 SHX OCLV

I will give you some love here - as I own a similar frame and am finishing it up now! Just landed an AMP F2 fork for it, and shifters arriving in a few days. Won't be a full period correct build (close-ish) but I intend to ride it hard!

Trek 9800 OCLV 93 "weightweenies project"

Lovely, I'm starting a similar build tomorrow on a 97 OCLV! Hoping to keep the proper visual aesthetic but with a few carefully selected modern bits thrown in. My goal is 20.x lbs rigid and fully 3x8

    1991 Trek 990

Yeah, I just finished a 1990 970 rebuild and even swapped in a few lighter parts than stock and she was a solid 26.5 lbs. Your paint is much cooler!

    1991 Trek 990

Just curious - any chance you weighed the frame when you had everything apart? Assume these are solid 5 lb'ers?

1989 Giant Cadex 980C retromod gravel grinder

Picked this up last summer for $100. It wasn't quite original so I said what the hell, lets restomod it a bit and put some miles on it. I think its an 89 + or - I wanted to beef it up a little bit for the rough Michigan roads, see how much tire would fit and lighten it up. So here's...

    14" Frames

This little Bonty is maybe a 12 or 12.5" frame Specialized Stump M2 also came in an XS size and probably easier to locate. My wife has an XS M4 Stumpy (below). There are also some XS Fat Chances Yo Betty! and the like out there.

XS 1993? Bontrager Race - Tiny Bike Content

landed a proper 1" steel stem (made by Chris Kelly I believe) and a NOS LX trigger shifter. eventually I'll find the right Bonty Ti bar for it and I think some Paul brake levers would like nice on there instead of the bulky Avids, but all the adjustments are nice for smaller kid hands. But...

XS 1993? Bontrager Race - Tiny Bike Content

Purchased a 1996 mint condition Trek OCLV bike last year hoping my son would move into it from his 24" Islabike, but the 16" frame was just too much of a stretch. Then a generous fellow offered up this little beauty and it arrived as such: Unfortunately the Mag fork was not a Mag 20 but a...

    Mag 21

Newb question: what point on the crown is the index point for the Mag 21's adjusters? Is it the gap where the stanchion tubes bolt in?

    Mag 21

huh, so I've got a franken-fork incoming. Good to know. This place rocks, thanks all.

    Mag 21

Hmm, didn't think of that. It was free except for shipping and arriving in a couple days, so guess I will be able to tell for sure then.

    Mag 21

old thread resurrection, but assume the lack of a cantilever mount on this brace makes it a later Mag 21?

    Trek 9700 SHX (1996)

2nd fork option arrived (it's only about 60g more than the AMP) and has cleaned and been sorted with nice soft elastomers (thanks rva) and soft green spring arrived from Dan Chambers. Also got some new old pedals, lighter bar and stem, and lost the spoke protector out back. 10.3 kg...

For Sale The END! We have stopped! Silicone Springs - elastomers for Manitou/RockShox/Proflex

Re: Replacement elastomer for Manitou 2/3/4 & Judy *NOW PROFLEX* Mine arrived today. They look good, and the reds are plenty soft, which is what I wanted. yellow is an original Manitou 4 "hard", red is an rva elastomer, pink is a standard 1996 Mach 5 (I think) They are a little heavier...
