    n°6 of 60 : my Specialized S-Works Epic Ultimate

These beauties and the lesser (but highly sought after) Spez's never reached our shores back in the 90's. Now that the modern ones are here they cost more than my car. Awesome bike this one!

    Retro murder?

No intention to intrude on anybody's preference. But the ad is in the Oldskool/Vintage section. There was nothing wrong with the original paint and decals. And the post wanted 7,000 pesos or around BP105 for the FRAME ONLY. "Scratchless, pristine condition, Original, Made in USA" it says. Well...

    Non-Groovetube Bravado?

Oops.. I stand corrected. I found the non-groovetube Bravado in the forum. Same exact features and its from 1997. Here's mine. I will correct the decals and powdercoat the cheap spray paint that's starting to chip everytime I touch it..

    Non-Groovetube Bravado?

Is there such a thing as a non- groovetube Bravado? I remember seeing a Bravado bike here somewhere that has the same exact features as the one I grabbed from a junk shop but with all decals peeled (paid gbp7.50 for it). Made a mistake spray canned it with cheap stuff. Now I regret it and intend...

To peel or not to peel?

I decided not to peel. I admired this bike a lot 20 years ago when I still couldn't afford a decent meal. Well, until the rust sinks in I suppose. I will save these decals in vector form until the need arises. Thanks all great advice! :D

To peel or not to peel?

I have a recently acquired Diamond Back Apex LE. It's so used like it's been in cat fight, scratches and all. As expected the decals are horrible. Should I replace them with computer cut decals? Or just let them be for authenticity? Also a stamp on the OEM fork says "1989". Does it mean its...

    Mystery Fisher frame

Very close! No model name on the frame either. I got this as a frame only, and I remember the dealer saying it was surplus so no genuine fisher fork included. Maybe its safe to assume its a Procaliber given that its from '92?

    Mystery Fisher frame

Hi all. I got a Gary Fisher for my first MTB back in 1992. It was orange fade to black in the rear. Not fillet brazed welds, standard HT, the logo "GARY FISHER" was printed in tiny, bold letters in silver. I remember the word 'K-Fish' and Gary Fisher's signature on the top tube, gold...
