    Heavy Tools Bikes

They had a Austrian that only raced DH in Europe and did it pretty good, the German where better on the trial mtb and traveling around the world with shows. On the CC part they had some riders that where supported with a little money and bikes but not full pros. This frame where designed as a...

Hi Are there any collectors of Heavy Tools bikes/frames here on RetroBike or maybe know if there are a special place where they meet (if there are a place). Reason I ask is that I have a Heavy Tools Equipe FS 1 Size M/48cm (red stickers and proto frame) in very good condition (almost mint)...

1997/98 Trek OCLV 9900 Pro Issue (VW Team)

Re: Re: Nice frame, I really like the yellow-black paint but the frame is just sweet no matter the paint job, comfy, swift and calls for more fun and smiles :) Only one thing that disrupts my eyes, the skinny tires, I would chose Continental Town and Country tires, they have a bigger air...

1997/98 Trek OCLV 9900 Pro Issue (VW Team)

Yhaa you are right, have the same feeling when I have them in my hands and when I by mistake jumps on the bike...they run nicly, was a great pleasure to build them and be able to keep the real retrolook together with modern funktions and weight.

kona hei hei v voodoo djab

Two different bikes, it all depends what use you have and what type of tracks you prefers. In short, Hei Hei is a full blooded Race bike with the extra benefits the titanium gives, D-Jab is more slack and demand a little less of the rider when the fun starts (going down, jumps). Both are...

    Does bike weight really matter?

And less arm muscles to ad extra weight when riding. :D The frame weight have very little to say, unless the frame weigh 3-4kg... Its a balance between low friction and weight strength on the rotating parts that matters. Every five grams spared on rotating parts gives about 30gr on a non...

1997/98 Trek OCLV 9900 Pro Issue (VW Team)

Hi Denso Your project sounds great, the color makes me happy, just remember to get an extra layer off clear coating on the frame, just gives the extra glow and dept in the sun :-) Funny you have chosen to put modern parts on and with some "retro" feeling over it...I have done the same since...
