    Lahar bikes :)

old thread resurrection... that's my bike in the article. still running strong; now going into it's 5th season. brilliant design, shame about aaron's dubious business practices - he had some great ideas, and pretty impressive carbon manipulation skills. hoping zerode can make a go of their...

    Anyone remember Suspenders suspension forks?

had a set on my trimble as well (seemed to be a popular combination for some reason). didn't really work that great - were laterally flexy & the elastomers age hardened rather quickly, leaving minimal travel. the disc brake worked pretty well though (for the time). migrated to my cruiser...

An OR Toad and a Brodie.

interesting that the era spawns the nostalgia that it does. the canadian content does it for me, as the local scene was exciting & for a time, leading edge. we had (well, still have) some of the knarliest trails on the planet, and the local manufacturers were stepping up to produce appropriate...

Help a Canuck with some Sunn?

severed & area is still intact. the hell of the north ran down there one year; great course. the brodie t.o.m. was indeed a sweet race as well, as was the original roach race in coquitlam. the mosquito 500 & vanier park were fun little events, too. and how about hornby bike fest - classic! ahh...

    Old Rocky

it's an avalanche (circa '88 i think). they were a step down from the top end blizzard & thunderbolt, but still a decent bike for the price. might have to check it out...

    Calling all Specialized Ultimate owners.

i picked one up recently. rough cosmetically, and a huge size, but it was cheap. current plans involve stripping it (the paint is beyond salvaging) and turning it into a fixie type road thing.

    trimble repairability

no. here's mine (old pic; i'll take one of the crack when i get a chance). it's led a long, hard life & still holds a special place in my heart. this was actually trimble #2 for me, as i cracked the first one & brent shipped me back a different (yet not new) frame on warranty:

    trimble repairability

i've got an old trimble kicking about that i've had since almost new that was retired because of a crack at the seatmast/rear stay junction (propagated by the brake cable scoring the composite). i've heard lots of comments re: the repairability of composite structures, and am wondering if anyone...
