    So, finally finished restoring the pre 90's marin pine mountain with one small problem - give it some beans and the chain slips from the back end somewhere - it's a new sram chain but I used the old cassette in order to keep the costs down, could this be the cause?

    I have one word for you......BIOPACE! nearly finished the pre 90's pine mountain restoration but it came with biopace rings (the oval ones) and I'd like to change them - the bike has deore dx cranks and my question is - will a set of modern rings fit the cranks, or will I need to hunt down...

    I see you can still get project 2's with a 1" steerer, but it's threadless, I need a 1" threaded fork, particulaly a straight leg fork rather than a curved one...any ideas?

    Hello all - "Project Marin" is nearly complete, but I wonder if anyone can tell me what size headset a 1990/91 pine mountain with rigid Marin forks would take - I found a brand new shimano 105 headset in my bike bits drawer the other day so I'm hoping that will fit..but I doubt it. help much...

    Anyone know what size seatpost I need for this?, I don't have the one that came with the frame so it's tricky to measure appreciate your help with this Plus, looking for a drilled quick release seatpost bolt, who would have thought they were so hard to find!
