    A most unwelcome guest

Nah nothing cut down or dismantled, recently, but that torrential rain yesterday may have drove him in, I reckon. He was a big lad, but what with it being Saturday evening and all, I didn't want to risk anything upsetting my 'plans' if you get my drift... Putting him outside would...

    A most unwelcome guest

Unfortunately, my other half (after she recovered from a near-anneurysm) made me show it the sharp end of this month's Cycle Active magazine, to the poor chap's detriment. I had to make sure my aim was true, though, as I was afraid if I didn't kill it instantly, the spider would take the...

Macbook batteries - only a grand!

For the last 10 years or so, I've been building Linux boxes out of 'dead' Windows machines as a hobby. I'm no command line nerd (I have friends and enjoy the sunshine), but I love rescuing these old machines. About 5 years ago, I inherited an old G3 iMac, which I upgraded to OSX 10.4 Tiger and...

Digi camera wanted urgently... swap for bike parts.. ?

Unfortunately, the GT post is 26.4. However you could have the cam for £15 delivered, if you like. Or if you have any Sega goodies of any description (Saturn or Dreamcast) or Amiga machines, I'd happily trade.

Digi camera wanted urgently... swap for bike parts.. ?

I have a 5mp Olympus digicam with battery and charger. Takes fantastic photos. I use my HTC Desire S phone now, so is surplus to requirements. Would your seatpost fit in my 92 GT Timberline?

    GT Timberline build

Hi thanks for the info. Yes she stays in gear fine :) horizontal dropouts rock! I do have the Araya wheels for it but I needed a solid rear axle to keep it straight under stress. Hence the cheapo set I put on. The rear skewer didn't hold the wheel tight enough.

Cheers for the welcomes, guys. My brother is a cycle courier in Edinburgh and he's always bugging me to come ride the Pentlands with him and his buddies. Trouble is, him and his lot are all built like whippets  They'd be waiting for me to catch up just getting out of the carpark...
