Orange MsIsle 🍊 - owned from new

Here’s a few pics of my Orange MsIsle that I have owned from new. I originally bought a MsIsle from Bromley Bike company, after a year it got stolen from Centre Parcs. XTR M952 Short Cage - Maximum Rear tooth capacity

Really helpful information here, sounds like it’s not worth trying to make this work as it’ll compromise the performance of the drive train. I have another smaller ratio 9 speed cassette which I’ll swap over from my Orange Msisle onto this C16-R with the XTR. The MsIsle has a longer cage mech...

XTR M952 Short Cage - Maximum Rear tooth capacity

Hi, I have an XTR Mega 9 speed short cage rear mech. Does anyone know if there is a maximum sized rear gear that it can cope with? I have a cassette with a 36T largest gear and i am struggling to adjust it without the mech rubbing on the cassette. Thanks Chris

    Date Identification - Frank Lipscombe

Definitely looks like “531A” to me - I converted to black and white as it made the stamp clearer. What do you think?

    Date Identification - Frank Lipscombe

You could have a very valid point there, I’ll check later to see if that’s the case.

    Date Identification - Frank Lipscombe

Thanks for the reply, yes they are Prugnat lugs which I know he used when building frames. The bike itself was purchased in around 1975 from Brian Wilkins in Gidea Park (Essex). Brian bought the business from Frank in early 1973. My dad remembers buying the bike and knows it’s a genuine Frank...
