Good shout - I'll settle for that - I can now stop looking at it 😆

    I keep looking at this...

The sticker on the frame and fork is a minor thing - the thin tubes, unusual lugs, seat-stay cluster, front seat QR, and strange canti-hanger are what I keep going back to. Many things scream cheap & nasty but cheap is usually quite uniform rather than strange.

What is the score with this? It's a bit unusual and I keep going back to look at the ad. What are peoples thoughts?

Martrac - Fillet Brazed Reynolds from Middlesbrough.

Hi Ken, Thanks for your post - its great to hear about the bike from someone who 'knew it' back in the day. Was it made for one of your customers or for someone in the company? Must have cost a few quid either way. Your information is actually very well timed - its taken while but the seat...

Pace RC36 Non-Threaded, One Inch Steerer.

Cheers - just wanted to make sure I'd pitched them right and not missed a feature that increased their value. 👍

Pace RC36 Non-Threaded, One Inch Steerer.

Just looking on eBay and the only 1" unthreaded RC36 sold in completed items shows a sale price of £270. I know this isn't an exact science, but in terms of model and steerer type etc, is £70 - £100 the right price range? The reason I'm asking is that I've posted them on marketplace at £90 and...

Pace RC36 Non-Threaded, One Inch Steerer.

Thanks Mark, yes RC36 😄 The stanchions are unmarked with no signs of wear, which makes sense as the frame they came off is pristine. Cheers, that gives me an idea on value.

Pace RC36 Non-Threaded, One Inch Steerer.

I have a set of early type (not Evo etc) Pace RC35 forks with non-threaded 1" steerer which is a decent length of 228mm I tend to have rigid bikes so know very little about these forks or their value Mechanically they seem to be working as they should and they're in great cosmetic condition...

    Steerer Lenghth Question

Here's a quick preview - paintwork is pretty much prefect.

    Steerer Lenghth Question

Thanks folks - that's all set me away with some good info. The reason I was keen to use those forks is that they both frames are Paul Donohue, but the one with forks is cracked, so it would have made sense do do the old switcheroo. Anyway, I'll look into it further and see how things pan out...

    Steerer Lenghth Question

Thanks Davy that gives me a starting point. Currently, the 125 has an XT headset as pictured.

    Steerer Lenghth Question

I have a bike with a 125mm head tube which has 1" threaded rigid forks. I'd like to use these forks on a bike with a 130mm head tube. Before I start stripping things down and measuring stuff, is this likely to be possible? Thanks.

    1986 Ridgeback "S"

Brilliant 👏 Thanks Was8v The black Rigeback S was my first mtb. Its long gone but I picked one up a few years ago for nostalgia. (I've got an original Tracer chainset to go on)

Durham Framebuilder in the 90s ?

Hi KOF, It's fascinating isn't it. I think it's more likely that the seller of that bike mis-identified it. Caygill was my first guess for this bike because it was clearly custom built and the person who set up the team was from that area, but he later told me it was a builder from the Durham...
