    Campag 9 Speed Cassette Types

They're different. Fractionally. IIRC, using them mismatched means it skips a sprocket going up and a different one coming down - ergo you can get all the gears, you just sometimes have to goup then down, or down then up. IIRC it's the 3rd from biggest going up and 2nd/3rd from smallest coming...

What are the nicest 10-speed levers?

Nicest 10 speed levers are Record, without a doubt. Also reliable, robust and rebuildable. Won't work with ShimaNO though. I've tried running a J-Tek to convert a MTB setup to Ergo shifters for a gravel bike. It's ok, but you lose crispness in the shift and can be a faff to set up.

    Campag 9 Speed Cassette Types

Early 9 speed freehubs were same pattern as 8 speed and are compatible with 8. Newer 9s is different to 8, but compatible to 9/10/11/12. There is very little old pattern 9 around. IIRC the giveaway is the locating flange - which instead of being a straight rectangular shape on the old 8/9, has...

    Campag Ergopower adjusters

I always go halfway as they provide the fine adj. Once set up you may want to tweak the cable a teenie bit one way or the other, if you're all the way in one direction, that may not be possible. I always install cables same way with adj at midpoint.

Campagnolo mid 90's 9 speed Ergo Shifters?

+1 for Velotech. He rebuilt a pile of ergos for me during lockdown. Been collecting them into a box for years, finally got around to sending them in. Lovely job.

    Todays purchase

Re the shimmed seatpost - didn't someone (Thomson?) Make like a 25mm Ti poast with shims for every sized tube? You ordered your post and shim, so based on that, I assume a shimmed post is fine.

Ah. I see now, from a different post. Can you not edit original post to add it there? A bit confusing for a blind old sod like me.

Help identified This Motorola Replica Racing bike

The BB cable routing is very "pre 1985" ish to my eyes. I reckon this is an older British frame (possibly Raleigh / Carlton?) that's been painted for the occasion. However, an older Condor might also fit the bill... Any frame number (potentially under the BB?) we could see? What rear ends are...

    Help identifying Colnago Master

Indeed, whatever it is (a Master of some generation) it's been repainted I think. Frame age doesn't match componentry. And it's definitely missing the chromed (and gold?) lugs. The Adidas bikes are off a Master frame, with Master lugs, and should have chromed front lugs with gold highlights...

    Help identifying Colnago Master

It's not an Adidas unless it's nicked. It's missing the Adidas branding and modern equipment the 150 bikes came with. The going rate for an Adidas limited edition is in the £8-10k range...

    Help identifying Colnago Master

Just did a quick Google. Designed for Riders under 160lbs (72kg). Probably more rare than a Master. It probably won't break if you're heavier, but in a big size it might get whippy?

    Help identifying Colnago Master

Re: IIRC there was a weight limit on the Tecnos due to the thinness of the tubeset? At 1.83m that is definitely something to be aware of if it's a thing, and not my old brain having a fart again...
