Re: Sweet bike, in good nick too. Those gum wall tyres look good on it. Much nicer than the red ones.

    1980's Colnago Sport

Hi All, Another retro restoration project that was completed a while back. Found this one whilst out house hunting. We were inspecting a house that was for sale and I noticed an old road bike covered in dust and cobwebs in one of the sheds. The property was being sold through an agent, so there...

    Concorde Squadra

Finally got around to posting some finished bike photos :) Its been on the road for a few months now and hasn't skipped a beat. A very light bike that performs exceptionally well - uphill, downhill and on the flat.

    Concorde Squadra

Been super busy since my last post, but the bike has been finished. I'll get some photos up shortly, but it turned out surprisingly light (haven't weighed it, but it feels light). Had to fashion a cable holder for the rear stay cable guide out of a rear derailleur adjuster. Not sure how the rear...

    Concorde Squadra

Put the bottom bracket in on the weekend and also polished the handlebars. They were basic Deda bars in a dull anodised silver, so didn't look too crash hot. Got stuck into them with some wet and dry and they came up quite nicely. Still got to polish them a little more though. Next up is to...

    Concorde Squadra

Headed down to a local bike coop here in Adelaide last weekend and put the crown race onto the fork. Surprisingly easy when you have the right tools :) Then started to put some of the parts onto the frame. The components are nearly all Shimano 105 5700 in silver (which is actually more of a...

    Benotto 3500 SLX

That's awesome. Always liked the Benotto frames. Excellent job.

    Concorde Squadra

Thanks, I'll see if I can track some down. The Campag seat post bolt was the correct one. Wasn't able to find one locally though so have to go for a no-name CrMo one. There were none available without the key at one end, so have to do a bit of Dremel'ing to remove the key. Also...

    Concorde Squadra

Any advice on whether I should be spraying some form of frame protector inside the tubes before installing the bottom bracket?

    Concorde Squadra

Yeah I'd be interested to see another Squadra in similar colours. Haven't seen any actual bikes with the same paint job.

    Concorde Squadra

Thanks for the frame information fiks and Elev12k. Tried to find a catalog on the net with the frame in it but couldn't find anything. Thanks for the links.

    Concorde Squadra

It was $350 for the frame and fork. A few small chips in the paint here and there but otherwise is in really good condition.

Put the headset (Tange Levin NJS) in last night using an improvised headset press. The cups look to be in ok, so hopefully all good :)

    Concorde Squadra

I was going to ask if anyone knew about the paint scheme. I haven't really seen any other Concorde's like this one. The PDM ones I have seen are the white to grey as you mention.

    Concorde Squadra

Some more photos of the frame and fork below, but I do have a query on the seatpost bolt. Does anyone know what type of bolt these frames take? The bolt was not included with the frame and the seatpost holes look a bit different to other older frames I have seen.

    Concorde Squadra

Hi All, Acquired an excellent condition Columbus SLX Concorde Squadra a few weeks back and have been sourcing parts to build it up. I'm building it up for my father and will be a mix of old and new with Shimano 105 5700, RS80 wheels, quill stem, silver bars etc. Will post progress as I build...

Gazelle Champion Mondial in Amstel Beer Red

Have had the bike finished for a while now, but was waiting to take some better photos before posting. Haven't got there yet so here is a couple of the finished bike. Happy with the finished product and the bike rides great. Don't even mind the friction shifting :) Am looking to make a few...
