    How about compromising and using Monoplanar's, I've used them in the Pyrenees and they stop well.

    A number of chromed rear ends retain painted drop-outs, maybe for that reason? My Somec has chromed and over painted horizontal drop-outs with campy skewers, only time the wheel slipped was when I didn't do up the skewer enough.

    I've got an 87' 531c which is dull to ride and a 77' 531 (standard) which is an absolute pleasure, although my joy is my 95 Columbus Max. The 531's are very much like for like spec wise but a world of difference apart in ride quality.

    Hi, The bolt circle diameter of your cranks will not allow anything smaller than a 38 (if you can even find one). Use a compact from a more modern groupset, although you may need advice on which chain to use and whether or not you would need a 9/10's block spacced to 8. Not entirely sure...

    Hi, Was initially going to build this frame up using Project 2's, but I'm now thinking about suspension. Have a budget of up to £100, what are your fork recommendations from the early 2000's. I'm thinking about 3" travel and it also needs a disk mount, also would prefer something light weight...
