thanks, but think it has to be the right one cos i've looked at newer ones and the seal bit is the wrong size and won't fit. they haven;t made them for 10 years apparently, so it's just gonna be if someone happens to have an old one kicking about...

Know it's a long shot, and this might not be the right forum to put it in, but anyone got one or ideas where i could buy one? would rather not have to buy a new wheel and my freehub's buggered... cheers

Also bought this a while back and haven't used it... would like to get what I paid: £40 posted... it's not get any dents or dings, but the paintwork around the chain stays is pretty scuffed up and it's no longer the most asthetically pleasing frame in the world, but it's fully functional :)...

Hey y'all, After what feels like a lifetime of hunting for bits on here and finally putting my bike together, I've realised that the frame I have is too big for me :oops: ... It's a red steel 17” P7 frame (not sure what year). It's in fairly good nick and I think the only thing wrong...

thanks for the tips... it is hope head dr thing, and i'd never have worked that out by myself!! but now i've finally got it out im struggling to get it back in and think i'll just replace it w a star nut unless there's some good reason to use this instead... cheers! :)

hey, thanks for the responses... i'm not sure waht make of plug it is (it just came with the fork), but ti think ur right that its bottoming out on it... i got a 3mm spacer so its not the gap at top of steerer. so, can anyone explain me how the compression plug works... i've not got the right...

actually, b4 any more replies, i just realised i can get 3mm spacers, i think that might poss solve the prob. will post again tomoro if it doesnt work... cant post photos as dont havea digital camera, sorry. 8)

hey, So, i finally got together all the bits for my build and assembled it today, and everything's grand... except the headset... the forks came w a compression plug instead of a star nut which phased me slightly as i've not seen one b4... anyways, i left it in cos i wasnt sure how to take it...
