Saving drafts in retrobike/ editing same and submitting same

Hi hope I have the correct forum for this. I started comiling a comparo of my old Team Raleigh Record for a RB posting, as it was a dead ringer for my model. On this PC I can only have one frame open so I skipped to another site to obtain some of my bike's details to flesh out my posting. So I...

1978 French Market Raleigh Team Record

I have not inspected the BBS yet, as all is sound. However will have a look to compare notes above ( : New Zealand used to import Canadian 'Redbirds' 100 years ago and sometimes a lot of designations for other markets get dumped here. I am very interested in the French Connection with the...

    Raleigh Catalogue 1973 and 1974/5

Thanks for posting this 1973 catalogue for Carlton. I have just been cleaning up my old Corsa. It is a Worksop loop frame but I believe it is 1970. Frame No. 'WK 7003162'. It is the green met paint like a Triumph TR6C and Tiger of that year, with the black head inserts and top bar decal...

What is this extra part added to a frame?

Being a Dawes... it is more than likely a presto or similar small valve pump. Keep it on the bike that is my advice..

ID 1980s Carlton frame with cantilever brakes + bosses

Hi David, Many thanks for those faulous pictures however I think these are the earlier Weimann centre pull cantilever? The brakes I am talking about are usually found on MTBs or ATBs as they were called. I am wondering if someone has actually modifed the old frame to get newer brakes...

ID 1980s Carlton frame with cantilever brakes + bosses

Hi, I just unpacked an old Carlton frame and noted the rear chainstays are different than my 70s Carlton to allow the fitment of cantilever brake bosses and the 80s C. brakes. In effect narrowing the rear fork somewhat. Imagine a loop Carlton Raleigh frame of the 70s with the top of the loop...

    1991 GT Zaskar **Update**

Re: 1991 Zaskar frame Hi Fabulous work! Have you heard of electrostatic cleaning alloy to start with? It is an electroplating shop process and gets rid of all impurities in the outer surface of the alloy.Looks like new. Anodising also would preserve it to some extent, but may not preserve...

    Catalogue Specialized Bicycles catalogue 1988

Hi I thought I had an 89 rockhopper but after seeing the green one dated as a 1988 model in another posting, I do not see it in your catalog for 88? The frame graphics feature as an insert however so mine must be a 1987? I guess the catalogs are printed earlier than production runs?
