The seller is a long-time vintage bike collector and a very trustworthy dude so happy bidding ;) That bike/frame is my ultimate grail (besides my Storm Adroit) but cannot justify investing ridiculous amounts into this kind of a project.

Whilst at it, maybe drill some more, for example those heavy XTR crank arms could do some trimming ;)

Yes, they're Vesa's Cannondale's. He's the Cannondale Expert of the group (even though I like to think of myself one too, having sold quite a bunch of them in the early 90s while working at a LBS).

Very nice end result! :) Although a colour-matched Judy is lovely, I think the bike would look great with a Manitou 2 as well.

Amazing frame you've got there! :) For the shipping, I'd use a courier like DHL/UPS/FedEx. With them, there are no issues with rear shocks etc. The "normal" posts don't allow for example batteries to be shipped but I used UPS to ship a bike with Shimano Di2 drivetrain incl. battery.

Very cool collection you have there! I especially like the Jade Green color of the '91 SM800. It's refreshing as they're almost always black / orange chameleon. If my memory serves me right, it sparkles rather nicely in direct sunlight. Now get those '91 Omegas built with proper components! :D

Actually the first Pepperonis from 1990 & 1991 were with 1" steel steerer. It was changed to 1 1/4" aluminum steerers from 1992 to 1994 and then changed to 1 1/8" for 1995 before moving to P-Bone forks in 1996. That fork is from 1991 SE2000.
