Wanted Kona P2 forks 1 1/8 unthreaded? Now resolved!

Hi, Colour isn’t that important and condition would just be, as good as possible as long as I could improve them. Steerer, I was hoping for quite long - 20 cm’s or so ( I’m being a bit vague! ). Maybe just tell me what you’ve got if you find them…. Thanks for responding, Paul

Wanted Kona P2 forks 1 1/8 unthreaded? Now resolved!

I’ve found an old Kona frame ( mid 90’s) and wanted to add some rigid forks. The obvious choice is some P2’s ( I think but don’t really know). Has anyone go any they want to sell?

GT Zaskar experts…what can you tell me about my bike #1…

Mine which I bought in 96 has much the same sort of spec as yours. Kore stems, seat post and bars seemed to be standard. I was thinking of changing my Judy forks to some Pace ones…..but haven’t yet. Stiff, fast bikes!

    Resilion brake conundrum

Thanks guys - I will post some pictures - but I'm in Bristol and the brakes are at my other place in Wales at the moment. I'm sure all the cable parts are there - they look fiddly. I thought they'd been soldered.

    Resilion brake conundrum

I've got these for a Selbach I've been meaning to build for a few years. I've got the levers and the Calipers but the cables remain a conundrum- I have the remains of some and can see that they split so that each Caliper has its own cable but not in a way I can improvise a working set - finding...

    Holdsworth Cyclone 1951/52

Stunning and just like mine (apart from mine being single speed awaiting a 5 speed set up with simplex derailleur!) Love the way you have restored this - large flange wheels etc etc etc.

27 inch wheels, any decent replacements out there?

Watch out for rear spacing / oln with some of those modern 27inch wheels. They may not fit.

Others on this site may know better than me....I'm basing this on my memories from 40 years ago and a recent rebuild of my own! I also remember GB stem and short mudguards! I think the cranks were raleigh / carlton.....

Hi - I think mine is mainly Weinman for handle bars, centrepull brakes and levers, simplex gears, weinman hubs/wheels (not really sure here), wrights / brooks B17 style saddle. Wheels would be 27 inch with amber wall tyres. might be worth seeing if the chrome polishes / cleans up?
