For my money the Raleigh Royal has always been a stand out value for money quality tourer. Unless you want to spend big money I'd plump for one of those. Readily available online at your usual auction site. Try Facebook marketplace also. If money no object, got to be a Surly Long Haul Trucker.

This is the CMP ultra-rigid brake system. All plastic and stainless steel construction, it was attached to the frame at 3 points front and rear. Never seen one in the wild though 😁

The first CMP Dural actually went on sale in 1975, and was later taken up by Mercier for mass distribution. It should be noted that this was almost 3 years before Vitus got in on the act and produced the first Duralumin 979.

Knowing a few fiesty Italians, I can't see Campagnolo selling it to anyone in the next decade at least. They've got too much of a pedigree in the story of contemporary cycling to bother. Plus, what would the Saudis do with a brand like this!
