26.44 is with standard Z3 Lights - which frankly aren’t that light. You can save a chunk by switching to a Z2 alloy steerer. Will have compare a set of Z2s vs the Z3s - at a guess, that would close the gap close to your 25.8.

Scores on the doors… ‘98 Kilauea = 12.02kg or 26.44lb So about half a water bottle full difference.
