Looking for a new project frame. looking for something in the XL realm, ideally a light XC 29er (hardtail or short travel bouncer) but possibly a disc brake gravel or similar frame. Got lots of bits so aiming for something super cheap/tatty/old so my wife will be proud of me not spending too...

Thanks all for the help. I fashioned a couple of shims out of milk bottle plastic and hey presto all worked surprisingly well!

Good point about a donor hub…will see if I’ve got anything suitable

these bearing adjustment washers - thin ones that sit on top of the central bit and space out the outer cone....

Bringing this thread back to life.....anyone know where I can get some of those shims? Rebuilding an old hub that I swear had two shims, replaced two shims and the bugger seizes when i tighten the outer cone. I'm fully expecting to find a third on the garage floor in the coming months. Thanks!

Morning everyone. I'm planning ahead to a family holiday in the summer and realised I need to upgrade my two bike towball carrier. Is anyone selling a four bike carrier or know of anyone who is? I've currently got a Thule rideOn2 so can transfer the electrics board across if that's easier...
