There is absolutely no point in de-greasing the dérailleur IMO. The reason for this is that the pivots are actually sealed with small rubber gaskets. IF the degreaser gets in, it will never get out again properly. What you should do is to just clean it with normal soap and water, then soak it...

I am pretty sure it is the difference in how you sit on your mtb and road bike. I have had almost the same issue, but when sitting differently on my roadbike during a race than during training. I.e elbows on the handlebars during a race where I was doing a lot of 'towing'. I almost never assume...

I have a Hugi compact rear hub that is very noisy, which I would like to overhaul. The problem is that I can't get the freehub body off the hub. According to all the manuals I have read it should be possible to just pull it off by hand, but I am not able to do this. Not with the cassette...

I have found that they did 1 1/8" threadless for MTB handlebars (25.4mm). Not sure about 26.0mm handlebars yet.
