Gloves or No Gloves that is the question!

I like no padding for quick rides or trials but on longer rides on rough terrain some padding is nice.

Gloves or No Gloves that is the question!

Re: Interesting! I have seen that most of the gmbn people prefer no gloves. Sam pilgrim doesn't wear them, neither does Matt Jones and Ali Clarkson rarely wears them. Maybe it's because they record in short clips and aren't riding long enough to get sweaty.

Gloves or No Gloves that is the question!

I prefer to ride with gloves as I find my hands get sweaty and I loose grip. I also like a slim grip on my bars, I use a lock on grip but one's with only one clamp on the inside. I see a lot of people on YouTube who prefer to ride with no gloves. So what's your preference and why?

    Rim Brakes

That's quite funny as I think rim brakes look ugly now... But they are simple and reliable

    Rim Brakes

That's why you modulate your brakes! Do you brake in a car by stamping on the pedal whenever you slow down? Also if it's that muddy your rim brakes are probably clogged with mud and not working any more been there and done it.

    Rim Brakes

Re: Rim brakes are fine until its wet or muddy then disc brakes are just better! One of the big bonuses with disc brakes is that you know when the disc wears out you can just bolt on a new one. Rim brakes you have to buy a new rim and rebuild the wheel! I used to preach for rim brakes until I...

    1999 GT Avalanche Build

Re: That looks really nice in green! Gt bikes for me were so cool in the 90s I had a 94 timberline and it just felt cool when I was 12 ish. Late 90s Kona took over when I got a 99 fire mountain after the gt got stolen. Still love gt's though!

New chains and sprockets won't work

Re: Can't see the chainring causing a problem at the cassette end. Maybe the chain isn't routed through the derailleur correctly and not getting enough wrap round the cassette?

    New Deore 12 speed

Re: I would second that deore is not budget! Deore is what I would generally go for because its good value not budget. For me all the new trends are too expensive anyway!
