Re: Manitou System FS 1996 Wow, I have never seen one of these for sale, must be a rare beast now?! I lusted over one of these when they came out, I guess it was Manitou's first step away from the Bradbury designed forks etc. Good luck with the sale.

I had mine re-finished at Mercian (not ideal for you). Quite expensive and I think they may sub-out but it is a first class finish and a few years later it still looks superb. Pics in track thread below:

Re: 1985 Raleigh Competition I like the way you're not out to make a profit on this, fair play to you. That bike is a total bargain at £100. Those frames ride so well, really comfy.

The steerer on the forks is 184mm, star nut is fitted.

I assume that the track bike above is currently owned by the same person (judging by the wall paint colour!)? It's almost identical to mine, but is that a 753 sticker on it? Mine is 531. So there may be an interesting story to follow. I agree with most of the posts above re the road frame...
