Am attempting to re-build my collection of Bike mags... it was a massive influence on me during the mid-late 90s. Am concentrating on Vol 4 (1997) at the mo'. Happy to pay £5 an issue, if anybody is willing to pass 'em on. Thanks for looking.

Shimano 200Gs adorned my first mountain bike (a 1990 Marin Muirwoods that was so yellow you could see it from outer space). The plastic shifters were the cause of much hilarity for the decidedly better (Deore) equipped Tangent, sometime of this parish. But... that bike and its steel n'...

If anybody else has any old copies of Bike that they are letting go... please give me a shout. Am especially interested in getting hold of the 'Dark' issue, and anything from vols 3,4,5,6 (which I have incomplete runs of). Happy to pay P&P and asking costs. Twas a golden age of MTB writing, IMO.

Am on the lookout for a large (17" seat tube C to C in Bonty terms) later generation Bontrager Privateer frame - i.e. with a 1 & 1/8th headtube. Don't mind about paint condition, as long as the frame is sound. I have me a project in mind... :D

Another Bonty admiration bump. Mmm, that is lovely - shame it's a bit too big for me. 1 1 /8" - I'm on the lookout for a L sized last-generation Privateer. It's that, or putting in a call to Paul Sadoff... or maybe both. :D

I got lured in by the Bontrager thread....
