I've got both a P7 and the very similar Klein Pinnacle. There is a very clear difference between the two IMO. P7 for comfort / Klein for speed.

Always hard for me not to vote of a whackily painted Klein(!) but this month we also have an awesome Bonty and Salsa and either an Ibis or WTB - good month so far I'd say... And yes a Dogs Bolx would not go amiss! Not only for a genuinely dog related bike, but I'd like to see how it fared...

Pointless? Not so... When I said I needed them for walking I'm referring to the times I have to dismount and carry the bike across unridable terrain. Doing so in cycling specific shoes can be downright dangerous if your trying to traverse slippery wet rock for example and the high tops reduce...

Re: The Shimano boot. They are essentially just a goretex hiking boot with a recessed cleat. They have a Vibram sole which is used extensively among top end hiking and military footwear. I'd be surprised if they weren't actually manufactured by a reputable hiking boot company and then modified...

Just got a pair of these a few months ago... Shimano MT91's. I LOVE these. They were pretty dear at around £130 but as far as I can tell, these are the only truly walkable cleated Goretex hiking boots around. Essential for me as there is often a fair bit of walking/carrying the bike involved...

Re: BoTM July '13 - Muddy Fox vs Orange vs Saracen - Nominat Had convinced myself I was going to vote Orange from the get-go but the Courier Comp and Trekker have make me think I may have been a bit hasty!

The brakes work OK actually - for canti levers I think they've got quite a long pull. Often get comments about the ridiculous handlebar width but it comes in handy fitting through little gaps and riding narrow canal towpaths.

Cool... This looks like the start of something special 8)
