What’s the deal with the lugged Roy Cottingham frame - listed as a racing mtb - no brake bosses. I’m a sucker for lugs so thinking through brake options
Going to be cheap this one……..😉

Guessing this is 88/89. More ‘modern geometry’ than the 501/531’s of the mid 80’s, but still lugged and with the three part fork. Surprising as I’d expect it to have been fillet brazed. Wonder what it rides like
All great prices. Was tempted by them all - but particularly that monarch and Kili. Was just the drive to collect putting me off and the knowledge that one of you lot will take care of them probably better than me.
As the title really….you know the 89/90 range with the hacienda style race graphics. I’ve seen all the others in the range but never the black conquest. Does one exist?
Happy to hear this has found a good home. Very similar to my regular ride, an Evans Conqest. There’s something special about riding them. They’ve got a bygone elegance and yet are extremely capable.
I wasn’t sure about the Brooks at first - hated the squeaking but a little bit of wd40 every so often does the trick. Now I love it, nice and comfy. Most of my riding is on hard stuff hence the city jets.
Just thought I’d share this...
It gets ridden every few days cruising up and down the coast. Love it.
The 89 Kili hasn’t been out since it arrived in the shed.
These are all the pictures I have. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Kinda got the multicolours of a Yates, the bullmoose of a diamond back, a sprung saddle and a Citroen head badge?? Bits of this, bits of that?
Re:
Thanks Retrobikeguy.
Looks like this one received the XT group. Maybe the grip shifters were a later addition.
Any other brands spring to mind who did this?
