Speed Project Lite // dirt-drop build

I mounted the saddle, pedals and a pair of Pasela tires yesterday to test the geometry. The tires will not stay - they look too slim for my taste. Just wanted to see them on the bike for science. 🧐 The position sure is sporty but I think it will work. I will know more after the first test...

Yes it's a bit strange but the Project 10 frame was the same. I guess they bought the 68mm shells from the tube set but cut in ITA threads? The BB is ITA: it's marked 36x24F which means italian threads. (see first picture) Gonna build me some wheels this weekend ✌

Speed Project Lite // dirt-drop build

Moving on: This being an italian frame it needs an ITA bottom bracket, of course. Funny thing, though: the bottom bracket shell is 68mm wide not 70mm like the ITA standard. So the bb sticks out a tiny bit. 🤨 Furtunately the Campagnolo BB-11RECART can be mounted off-center. So we decided to...

The frame is at the bike shop to have the bb threads recut and to fit bb+headset. I will check when I have it back.

Speed Project Lite // dirt-drop build

This framesset was listed on Ebay Kleinanzeigen in May by a seller from Berlin. I was looking for a fillet brazed frame for my next project and this one has some really nice details. (I will show more in the next steps) And compared to the US cult brands it was pretty affordable. I just had...

Wanted Mavic 217 SUP UB 32H in bronze color

The rim in my rear wheel just broke on the inside. Now I'm looking for replacement. Preferably in good or very good condition. It's a Mavic 217 with 32 holes in that bronze / dark gold color. Not the sunset version. Here are two photos that show the color.

That's the badge for the normal ritchey logic tube set. I have the same on my 95 Thunder. The more expensive models like the Lightning and Jet Stream came with Ritchey Logic Prestige tube set. But it could just be the wrong decal. XTR parts would match the Lighning specs. The quill stem and...

Interesting. What does the Ritchey decal say? The tube set will help identifying the model. Edit: Also your bike has the seat clamp on the front side of the seat tube. The 93 models had them in the back and it moved to the front from 94 onwards from what I understand.
