    quite possibly... the previous 2 posts both bent, but they were cheap crap. this one has survived 6 weeks so far without starting to creak. just measured.... there is 280mm of tube sticking out of the frame.

    I quite like old konas.. once went on a kona test day at smithbrook kilns. still never managed to own a kona... was offered a 93 lavadome which i would have loved to have owned, but as it was a 15" frame i declined it... if anyone has a nice 21" explosif they are giving away??

    i just find it easier to buy one size of tube, and if you've ever tried fitting 2" tubes in a 1.25" tyre you know why i err on the small size

    i use 1.25-1.5 " tubes on both bikes.. from 1.25 city runners to 2.1" knobblies. I'm sure i used the same on my 2.5" ground control extreme.

    i bought a bottom bracket from cambria, got charged £15 duty paid it, they sold the (non existant) debt onto a collection agency and i had baillifs chasing me for £15!!

    i run 400mm posts on all my bikes, but they are 21" frames... with 130-150mm stems too. not always a good plan as i generally get through a couple of seatposts a year.

    I had all sorts of issues with 9 speed and clogging. I now run 8 speed with thumbshifters (7 speed with the secret click).

    change the stem for something with internal cable routing, or fit a headset mounted one. had a ritchey one on my orange til i went hydraulic.

    I had a raleigh bomber that was really heavy and only had 3 gears, then a peugeot Ranger with 10 gears and a frame with a very soft front end. having bent 3 frames i moved on to a raleigh discovery. Bent that too and replaced the frame with a Saracen traverse. Thats when i started enjoying...

    I'd like mine back too... not much chance now, went over 2 years ago now Jekyll 400 XL with hayes disks and various other mods. Silver(raw) with black rear end Also like my fisher cake back. also XL with various mods red and black. both nicked in the portsmouth area.

    after a string of old vauxhalls and opels (2 chevettes ad 2 mantas) i have had a 98 corolla g6 for 8 years... here is a pic of it this summer!!
