So having picked up one about three months back http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... p;t=406772, then this one appeared on Gumtree about a month back. Thanks to a guy on here whose username is Matthews, he was able to pick it up for me and hold on to it so I could then arrange collection...

    1991 GT Karakoram

After owning a couple of 1992 variants, but selling them on because I rode them less and less, I purchased the frame a forks of a 1991 a while back. The reason this time was I had an almost complete DX groupset, and that is one of my favourite groupsets, and I wanted to hang it off something...

    1997 Merlin Cycles Malt 2

Have a softspot for Merlin Cycles frames, as I used to study there adverts like they were a degree. They seemed to always have the best prices for mid end stuff, so when this came up, I had to nab it. It may be too red for a lot of people but I thought I'd build it to a theme. Update 05/05/20...

    2001 Klein Quantum Race

I won this frame with quite a lot of the Ultegra groupset for a very low price (thank you sniper website). Built it with an intention of getting back in to local sportives but alas I haven't had the time, but it rides so smoothly. The weight is about 20lb, which isn't the lightest I've see these...

    2001 GT IDrive 5.0

After building up a medium IDrive 6.0, I felt that it was a bit too small for me, so I managed to source a large 5.0. Had to replace the original chainset as it was worn. I've since replaced the seat and seat post to less worn examples.

    1994 Merlin Cycles

Picked this frame up a while back, and its been slowly evolving ever since. I was going to fit some low travel forks to it, but the frame is just not designed for suspension, and so it stays rigid. I had a couple of purple bits, and thought sod it, lets pimp it out with purple. A few weeks back...

    weirdest bike find ...

Re: Found a BMX down an embankment of a dual carriage way mid early nineties. Was hand painted black, and wasn't too far away from my local village so I hadn't heard anyone had had theirs stolen. I remember had a tioga chainset (once piece crank), and twin top tubes. Aero type forks as well I...
