Re: Moser Leader AX | 57.5 x 56 cm | Chorus 8s | Mavic CXP30 These frames were built for an expander seatpost. True they are hard to find and at times expensive, but they look so nice on these frames. Cutting the seattube to allow a normal seatpost in (using a collar to tighten), would just...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Re: I am exchanging emails with VCC's Holdsworth marquee enthusiast regarding my frame. He also places it around 34-36. Also told me that he has, on register, one more number lower than mine: No. 0496, a Tornado, possibly from 1933. He is looking to provide me, and thus here, some pictures of it.

yeah, from the pictures above I could see it just on the lower side of the downtube, so I also think it's to stop the shifter's band from slipping down.

It's definitely, to me, one of the first Super Mistral, top end of the framesets available at the time. Lovely brake bridge. It's only 'missing' the bridge (forgot the name) hanger for the center pull brakes?

That 6015 from 1939 is mine too, it's the one above actually. Have not heard from him yet, usually he's quite quick, might be on holiday.

Here is the Cyclone offered as bike in 1937. It's an in a nice little racing handbook.

Re: Btw just found out the Cyclone was available as road/path in 1937 too. But it didn't sport the Russ style forks, has a pump and front brake. Probably the image is showing the road model. Will add more info tomorrow.

In the 1936 cataloguethat I linked above, in the Framesets section it was available with Brampton, Chater Lea, B.S.A. fittings for either Path or Road model. So that doesn't rule out 1935 or 1936. Prices were £5/5 for Brampton, £6 for Chater Lea and £6/5 for B.S.A.

It is indeed a really beautiful frame. Very, very, happy with my purchase. Fork blades are correct to the frame, Russ-style fork type, don't think they were reshaped. I never heard about 7/8 or 3/4 differences and didn't think it would help age this frame. I shall look into it. As for the...

Got the frame today. Haven't measured it yet or weighted, snapped a couple of pictures for your perusal. Fork has 0520 stamped on the back of the fork crown, quite an unusual place? https://goo.gl/photos/WXoqDwp8Gqzbj6QUA
