I think they enhanced the 90s head down geo really well, offered 2 or 3 more hand positions and formed a useful hook for shopping bags. Not everyone wanted racks and panniers in the 90s! On my touring commuter Thorn the position is upright for me, I've added bar ends that slot inside the bars...

For the record I'm 5.11 when being optimistic, and had the saddle half way up but it felt nice to me. I guess the BB is hiked right up so they'res that to consider. The new owner was a bit shorter than me but seemed happy!

Solid dependable Tange frame from a really early Saracen Tufftrax. The early ones are lighter and feature lots of braze on bosses for cables, two sets of bottle cages, pump, mudguards and racks. This one is a rear u-brake version, these are easily available for BMX etc. The tig frame is solid...
