Can we get a bike from Brighton to yorkshire [edit: Gloucester]? Just reviving this in case anyone can complete the chain feom Brighton to Gloucester or Wiltshire. That's assuming of course that retrospud, graham and mr history are still in place (thanks again guys)

Re: Columbus make some fairly ordinary tubing. This is probably the equivalent of a reynolds 501 carrera from halfords. Not to be sniffed at but nothing that special either...

Re: I also read pre precision pinnacle 860 sandy sport and got nothing for that from google. Never seen one before, could be a local brand put on a generic alu frame. Those can be lost in the mists of time, especially in a small market. Mostly decent components and interesting looking wheels...

Re: Those forks are really unusual. I'd be a bit wary of them tbh (assuming they're aluminium which they appear to be). Most early 90s ali frames had steel forks because ali can fail which is obviously catastrophic on a fork. And after 25-30 years of metal fatigue... The bike itself looks nice...
