    Any info on this Dawes?

I know I’m 9 years or so late to this thread but I’m busy restoring a Dawes Countryman. The original Dawes Countryman had a 10 speed set up with the ranger having 15 speed - the one I’m busy first aiding has all suntour shifters, brakes, gear etc but a 3 ring shimano biopace crank - not sure if...

Yeah they are a bit weird in terms of geometry - I’ll have a go and see how it goes - probably back with tail between my legs in a month 🙄

Wanted 22" or 22.5" Frame, unfinished project etc...

Thanks for all the offers and ideas but I’ve picked up a Dawes Countryman that was gonna be binned - it needs a bit help and I know I won’t make money on it but it’s a lovely old thing with A Reynolds frame and forks and all Suntour gear ⚙️- I’m gonna have a go at a nice old cruiser bike packing...

For Sale Mavic D521 Rear wheel on gold Shimano Deore LX M570 hub

Hello - I have a rear Mavic D521 wheel with black spokes (need a bit cleaning with some scrub) and a gold Shimano Deore LX Rear Hub. Might work on someones re-build etc. The wheel came off a bike of my brothers and doesn't seem to have any problems and runs true. Drop me a DM Ta. Chris -...

    Wanted Mavic 221 rear wheel

Hey up, I'm looking for as much of a rear Mavic 221 silver spoked wheel if possible. The one I have on my Claud Butler feels egg shaped when it rotates so I'm not 100% sure what is the problem. It rotates for ages so i thjink the rear hub is OK - I've had the left and right buckle trued but the...

    Show us your CLAUD BUTLER

My Claud Butler Cape Wrath 1997 - Not 100% finished but enough to get out for a ride along the coast. The rear wheel is the only problem. I had it trued at the bike shop which fixed the left to right buckle but its still left with an up and down motion (which I'm not sure if you can correct.)...

    Peachy feedback

...recently bought some decals for a resto project on a Claud Butler. Graphics arrived spot on and very quickly and he has since been on the end of a message about how to do things correctly and where to go for other things. To a first timer in this game he's a steady pair of hands and very...

    Claud Butler Cape Wrath - 1997 - 1st Project

I've been taking the old decals and sticker glue off the forks this evening. Given I'm on a bit of a budget is there a way of touching up the paint chips so they look respectable for now rather than blast and spray ??

Anyway gonna have a first time...
