The guy I bought it from said it was bought new in the 1990s from a local bike shop. The paint job looks original which is confusing and it has all the catalogue correct on parts on it. It got me wondering why you would change the colour but keep the pagan stickers etc ?

Picked up a pagan today as it was a bike of many from 1992 that we all loved. After looking at the catalogue for 1992 the graphics are the same as the purple one but it didn't look like they did a black version? Gonna try bringing it back to life and use as a rider.

Thanks - yes it would be nut connected. The Tektro type look fine to me to be honest for what I'm going to do. Can you use the other slide through modern fittings or is it better to use the original nut style? For me as long as it slows me on a Yorkshire hill I'll be happy. 👍Thanks again for advice.
