it's a 94 Carrera Krakatoa, currently running a 26 x 2.1 on the rear, there's some clearance left at the sides, the front does look ok for clearance, I guess the pads will raise up on the old Shimano cantis ?

I'd rather it was so it matches the front, then again I am open to suggestions if it's similarly a mid range wheel.

I've come to a temporary halt on this, the rear axle was replaced with a solid one at some point which is not only incorrect but the chain line is also out. I managed to find a 6 speed rear quick release from a similar age Pellisier hub... However when fitted the chain rubs the frame and there's...

In all honesty it's only about the second one I've had to unstick in 35 years, I should have photographed it when I removed it, rust/corrosion all over it.

Does anyone have a non drive side 170mm Sakae SX crank arm, obviously the threads will need to be good as will the tapers, the odd scuff is OK as I'll be polishing it all anyway. I've attached a pic to show what the markings are like, it is the non drive side that is needed.

I've had a good dig around in the shed and found just about everything to do a rebuild. I found a seat, all new cables (inners and outers) brake blocks, some very clean brake block fittings rather than the rusty ones, a plethora of stainless cap head Allen bolts, the only thing I actually need...

My thoughts too, I reckon I've pretty much everything in the shed apart from replacement left crank arm.

It rides pretty well and very smooth rolling, maybe due to the slack head angle? , hoping it'll be even better after a fetyle
