how do they not come off, I have a set of 7 speed Deore ones , one cap is loose and it looks like the four little pins are broken off.

Done this a few times and all things being equal you will either be working harder to keep up or dropping back constantly , borrow a road bike.

If you break it I'd be interested in the brake/shifters units IF they work OK.

I'm looking for a bike computer that will run from the rear wheel of my old JF Wilson Road bike whilst on my Tacx turbo trainer. If wired it'll have to reach the rear wheel and I'd prefer if it had a watt/power function as well as basics... Any ideas?

Has anyone fitted bigger than 23c tyres to a 2010 Trek 1.7, its a stiff frame and the tyres are getting ready so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and pop on some bigger tyres though clearance is tight.

Just got back, still the odd jump, I'll check the chain over again when it's dry for tight spots, if that fails to provide an answer I'll pop an unused Deore Lx I have from the mid 90s on it and see if that's any better.

I think most 7/8 speed short cage derailleurs work up to 28t🤔

Wouldn't stiff links cause issues in all of the front chainrings?
