Says Flyer to me. Any numbers on the rear LHS drop out. Birds Mouth lugs and wrap over stays in the larger flattened design are all Flyer hallmarks.

Well worth the work, my 1960 Flyer is one that I've steadily brought up to high end finish over a about 3 years...

Remember that tape, deffo gets the 70s vibe, but my god it was awful, slippery when your hands got hot and sweaty!

Maybe try using a vice, very gently with the rims protected, squeeze in.

Great stuff, I had the red framed/blue mudguard version. New in 1976.

Looks to be a worthwhile project, look forward to seeing more!

Hi, I dont have any fixies, I do have a number of machines that have flip flop hubs.

Managed to get the machine out for a proper ride last weekend

The crankset that was on the bike when I bought it was a Sugino cottered steel affair, impressive and heavy. I've used a Stronglight 99 now with 50/38 rings and a modern sealed BB.
