Thank you both. Yeah I’m not that bothered enough to polish them, the drain cleaner bath idea and rustic finish sounds good to me. I realise it can only be the cages but can I do it without taking them apart, just be careful to put them on upright and keep the spindles out?

Hi all, I’ve just acquired a pair of DMR V8’s that have cosmetically seen better days. What do people recommend to give them a good clean up? Would paint stripper or degreaser work to bring them back to a shine? Thanks in advance

Yeah I really don’t know, I emailed Paul Sadof of Rock Lobster and he said he only designed them but the welding was really good (see pic). I know it’s not a top end Kona, Litespeed, Merlin, Dean etc which is why I’m letting it go cheap for a a Ti frame. I paid £400 for it which is like to get...

I don’t think it’s the same Merlin that made Ti frames but the other one based in the midlands UK that also made the Kinesis frames
