Wow! The paint is great match! Very nice build! I really have to get my Thunderbolt back together...I picked up an old RS1 for mine, but your bike looks nice with the rigid fork I might have to go that way too.

Very nice Blizzard! Well done! I like the Tange Struts on this build and the paint looks great too.

I know a local guy in western Canada that still has his Summit Max that he raced on in the early 90's. I'll see if I can get some info from him. From what I've seen online, it was the same as the Summit RL, except it came with Ritchey brakes, levers, and cranks and the different paint job.

Nice 88 Blizzard! I hope you have better luck extracting the seat post than I did. Ya, it was strange that they used the 130mm spacing on these bikes...makes it hard to find replacement wheels! Thanks! I'll check out those paint options. I've still got a couple other bikes to put together...

Ya, I would have acted pretty fast too if I were in Ontario. When I first saw it listed for sale I got excited that it might be an old Thunderbolt. But parts kit, TIG welding and Struts suggested a 92 Blizzard. A great deal for $150! Mine has a serial # T9108 0xxx if that helps.

It's a 1992 Blizzard...repainted. Good score!

Nice! I like the twin down tubes. Interesting that they made that design only one year. But the Summit RL and Summit Max were worthy successors!

Nothing new...very little time to work on retro bikes lately. I'm hoping to get back to this one once I finish an 88 Avalanche.

Nice Find! I'm not sure who can reproduce the granite paint job. In your case, I would probably just leave the back end the way it is, since it looks good, and repaint the white front end. My plan is to respray the white and use some black or dark grey touch up paint on the "granite" parts and...

Re: Re: I wish it was that simple. My Avalanche and Blizzard serial numbers have the letter B or T followed by 4 digits (not related to the year). I would be nice if Rocky still had records of old serial numbers, but they don't. I recently inquired about a 2000 frame that was stripped of decals...
