This is long gone but I just found it while looking back through some photos. I did this in 2012 to replicate the BMX I had as a teen. 79 I think the frame was. Can’t quite remember.

Thanks! It’s a lovely bike, I had 10 miles on it tonight to see if it stayed together. I’m out with a friend in the morning early doors for about 20 mile so I reckon I’ll take this again 🙂

They look lovely. Your time will probably cost more than what I paid for the bike though 🤣 Also I’d never ride it with anything that good on. I’m thinking of using an M737 now instead as the rest will be 96 XT I reckon.

A quick clean and a quicker polish. A bit more pitted than I would have liked but I’ll see how it looks in the bike. Left side is worse but nobody ever looks at the left side of a bike do they? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah I’m 100% with you. I never really buy anything I could never of afforded in the 90s without a bit of saving. This to me is actually a decent bike, but not so decent that I’ll never ride it.
