I laced up my new wheels. I think it looks much better now.

I went for a 30 mile ride this past weekend. It preformed great. Suprisingly my back did not hurt. My neck did though. Now i have to repair my spoked wheels and paint.

Here it is with Campagnolo record groupset. I had Record wheels on it but two spokes broke while riding it so I swapped to Spinergy until I can respoke the Records. Surprisingly the rear mounted front brake hasn't affected my turn radius.

I built it up last night with campanello record parts. Today when I got home from work I was able to take it around the block. It rode very nice, but I'm sure my back will pay the price after any long distance. But for now I'm very happy with the frame I built myself.

It is very hard for paint to get a mechanical bond to chrome. Thats why it always chips. A lot of those frames were stripped back to just the chrome because of that issue.

Yep its expensive. Why out of my budget.

Have you priced chroming a frame? Last I checked it was $600 just for the forks

So far im leaning towards one that is a metalic purple fading to white to blue like the one below.

UPDATE After 7 months I finally have the handlebar mounts. A friend drew them on a CADD program and sent them off to a company he uses and this came back. They are chromoly steel, the bolts are hardened and the pins are stainless. Now I just have to make them fit correctly and braze them on...
