    1991 Beryllium RekTek MTB

Thanks, Dan, for your input. Very interesting. I'm not sure what material it is, but all I do know is that I have never touched an alloy like this before. It truly is odd to touch and look at. This frame was made in Russia. Where is Brush-Wellman located? You are correct about the cable stop...

Yes for sure, will do. My pleasure. I've slowly been bolting parts to it to see if anything is wrong. There's no cable stop for the rear canti's for instance.

    1991 Beryllium RekTek MTB

Re: Re: I'm not sure, sinnerman? An employee at RekTek came forward on Fb and said it was beryllium and gave me the additional info about the price they paid and where it was made.

    1991 Beryllium RekTek MTB

Thanks, regan_ev. The frame has been weighed once by myself on what I believe is an accurate scale and this 18" frame comes in at 2.1 pounds. I will use a different scale and do it again as I'm keen to know myself and strive for accuracy. I've read a bit about the American ones on the forums...

    1991 Beryllium RekTek MTB

Here's something we don't see every day! I'm a garage sale junkie and one never knows what pirate treasure they come home with...including a beryllium RekTek frame! I haven't felt this way about building up a bike in awhile, actually, and have dropped everything for it! I'm pretty stoked and...

    All Things RekTek

Re: I'd like to add a beauty to this thread. I went to a garage sale a few weeks ago and bought a beryllium Rek Tek. A great thread on Fb in the Vintage Canadian Mountain Bike group was started with lots of great info on the frame as well as beryllium frames in general. I'd link us up...

    1994 Rocky Mountain Altitude

Strange because my 94 altitude is mint and I definitely can get my finger behind the decals and peal them off if I wanted. But who knows, there's a few years between my 94 and this yellow red team (91?) and production practices change all the time

    1994 Rocky Mountain Altitude

Re: Re: Really? I guess they did for this year and this model? I've never seen another Rocky that did the clear over decals...they all scrape off pretty easy on me every time you lock them to a lampost or bike rack. That would be perfect! Thanks Blizz! I guess I do an user name search? It's...

Help With Year Of This Kona A'Ha Please

Thanks Gentlemen! I didn't scroll far enough the first time I went through the catalogue. And bonus, it looks like the handle bars are original after all. The 7 spd internal is kinda cool as well but has a super cheap feeling shifter

Help With Year Of This Kona A'Ha Please

These two Kona A'ha's came up on Cl last night and I snatched them up! A husband and wife duo had them on their motorhome or stored in the garage. The only thing they changed was the handlebar. Any idea what year? Google Image Search is pretty low on these green ones and tough to guess. Cheers.
