Looks like a '97 300 model to me. Nice enough Reynolds Optima tubed frame - only titanium part is the bars though! Excuse the awful pics - just happened to be on my phone.

Wow, that was efficient! 👍 What about the decal on the top tube - if it had a model number it would usually be shown there. Looks like I'm wrong about the tubing but still looks a nice frame.

Kind of looks like an Optima tubed frame - could you post pictures of all the different decals? Might have been a run-out / parts bin special to move unused SPD frames as it was being wound down?

H suggests 97 then which also ties up with the Selle Royal(e?) Extreme saddle being fitted to production M-Trax bikes at that time. In the 1996 catalogue (archived here) the custom Optima frame is shown with a curved fork.

@d8mok I've followed some of your other threads where you've persued this so understand you've built up a fair bit of knowledge on the subject but do you have any ideas or theories on how it was successfully achieved as a factory finish?

I had a set of the RB2 forks for a while, really liked them and they turned a bike around - GLWS!

I never experienced chainsuck once in my glory/idiot years but it got me (well my chain stay) about 18 months ago 🤬 Rings and chain in very good order but sticky mud and bumpy terrain is what I'm blaming it on! Don't think I was in any daft gear situation.
