    Can anyone identify this frame?

My first response was Iron Horse as well but must admit I'd only seen an aluminium one like the above not the OP's steed, interesting 😎

Retro @ York Cycle rally 2022

Always meant to go to the York Rally when I was a regular rider with my local CTC group but never did so I'm coming to this one😉 Booked my 2 nights camping with the Retrobike area so now just need to fettle a bike or two. See you guys there😁

    Saracen Rush 1999 DH bike

Not a downhiller but lusted after those Saracen DH bikes and enduro machines. They are just so burly looking and over the top almost Tonka toy like. Brilliant restoration and great to make it a usable shrine to your dad, he'd be proud and happy 😎😎😎

    ** Mountain Mayhem 2022 - ITS ON ! (in a fashion)

If its not 24hours of madness it's not mayhem plus it's a long way for less reward. I'll hang on for 2023😁

9 Speed is nearly 25 years old

In the year 2000 I bought a 1999 Carrera Hellcat full sus mtb that was on sale in my Local Halfords. For very few short months I was the guy with the latest bling bike amongst my friends. 27 speed transmission, Magura hydraulic disc brakes and then near top end Suntour coil forks. It only seems...

Baltic Bawbags - Now with added aftermath and pictures of actual riding

Great write up Clubby, yet again I've failed at the first fence but if I had appeared I'd have been too knackered to cycle🙁 Keith's idea of a July version might be good, Boiling Bawbags. If I can make amends I'm happy to organise that idea I proposed about the Mortonhall estate near me or the...

Baltic Bawbags - Now with added aftermath and pictures of actual riding

Thank goodness I have found both neoprene overshoes this time. I am beginning to think the weather gods have got it in for MacRetro. The storm yesterday was fearsome, rain so intense it was like the fire brigade were hosing down the windows😳

    And today I did......

Had a wee wander around some local woods I've not been in for a while with my parents dog. I had forgotten just how good the trails were for old school mtb. Me thinks the Mortonhall estate with Brunstane Woods and the Braid Hills would be a good compact venue for an edition of Velo's Trails...

    Thudbuster question/Proflex elastomers

Land rover Defender front suspension bushings. They have the correct sized hole in the centre and you can get 8 for £5. Downside is their diameter is less than the original elastomer and they are quite stiff rubber so travel only about an inch. However travel can be improved a bit by drilling...

Baltic Bawbags - Now with added aftermath and pictures of actual riding

Looking forward to meet but jeepers I'll be shattered on the day. My boss has put me on the 2 busiest shifts in the fast food business on Friday and Saturday. Did lunchtime shift yesterday, flat out for 6 hours. We had 14 staff and still we had to keep stopping in taking orders to clear back...

    MacRetro chat and rides thread

Okey Dokey, I'd better get practising off road riding then. Hopefully drag myself down to GT over next couple of days and start with the blue. Very out of practice 🙄

    MacRetro chat and rides thread

I don't class myself as up to much in regard to mtb but I still watch mtb vids with interest seeing what trails are out there. Most videos show trail totally beyond my talent but occasionally show up trails in Scotland I don't know about and some that are even possible for me having blue graded...

Baltic Bawbags - Now with added aftermath and pictures of actual riding

I can only just remember the last series which was in colour so not as old as others here. I intend to be there having booked the day off and now I have to choose between 3 retro steeds I've been working on plus my Peugeot "Tracker" which will need tested before Reet Pack in Yorkshire this May...

    Bikes for storks

I have no pictures but when I joined retrobike I had a Schwinn Mesa Runner that was 25" big. As it was a 1987 model it was all slack geometry and skinny tubes with suntour components. Perfect bike for my 1.95m tall physique😎

I' m hoping the old age and treachery is references to our current PM as old I might be but treacherous I am not🤔
