Re: Exage 500LX might not look as nice as some but it's perfectly functional and will still work perfectly well. Exage 300 is ok too. If I were Jamie I'd ditch the shifters for some downtube or bar end shifters and keep the rest of the bits and pieces. It's always nice to turn up something...

Re: It does indeed sound good and has a nice ring about it "Kaisers Bawbag" . I'm off so depending on the usual demands from family I might make it. I might even ride retro if I can get round to sorting the worn drive train on the M500.

Re: I'm up to 8.5kg (13st) from my usual 79.3kg (12st7lb) and I'm noticeably softer and flabbier. The kids have been laughing at my jellybelly. Too much food and drink. Managed 42 road miles today but need to get a grip !

Re: Looks like a great day. Great photos and the trails look good . Keith , good to see the RTS getting an outing. One of the many bikes I wish I'd held onto !! I really need to get back out on the rough stuff but after busting my teeth then my ribs I seem to have lost my bottle. :cry:
