It would benefit from a light sanding, and will obviously get the inside edges chamfered with a fine file, but the light in that photo is exaggerating the reaming marks.
It’s smooth enough in real life.
The caliper in your eBay link is an earlier model which has the logo machined, not lasered; the ones ishaw posted are later ‘Mono’ unibody calipers.
I was referring to the lack of lasered logos on the master cylinder in the photo of the purple/blue brake.
I’ve had good luck with the ‘dual-compound’ red and black Koolstop pads on normal alloy rims; I have a spare brand new set you could have.
I’ve since moved to Rigida CSS rims with a tungsten-carbide coating, and special pads. The tungsten braking surface doesn’t wear at all, certainly zero...

They’re truly unique, likely made for a show bike or re-anodised by someone. Note lack of laser-etched Hope logos on the master cylinder.

I’ve always used a couple of sprays of isopropyl alcohol to get rubber/silicone grips like these on.
You have to be quick, and get it right first time, but it has the bonus of evaporating very quickly and not leaving any residue, unlike soap etc which...
I've got a set of Pace RC31 carbon forks which have some chips on the magnesium dropouts that I'd like to touch up.
I got in touch with Pace, who no longer have any details of paint spec on these.
I found some exampled of re-painted RC31's online; has anyone had a colour match done?
