Just seen this 1992 Axis that sold on ebay seem to be the closest so far...it does look grey but could just be the photo..this colour is hard to capture correctly. Also this catalogue image states of the bike avalible in grey with blue pearl...So this must be it i guess?

This and the photo of the ID stamp is a truer version of the actual colour.

Just picked up this 21" Axis, I have DEEP searched the internet but cant find another like it colourwise. In the photos it looks grey but in the flesh its definitely a metalic blue grey. The ID stamp is U30905933 which not 100% SURE but possibly means its a 1993.
