Colleague at work recommended I try a different product after watching me polish a frame with autosol over a few lunch times, whilst you still have to put the effort in to get it to a decent point to start polishing it's so much better than anything else I've ever used to polish a frame and...
That yo betty is really cool. My lads 14" explosif is a similar colour but doesn't quite have the same appeal.
Just saw this and thought I should point it out to the OP as it might be suitable: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174981837883?hash=item28bdbaf43b:g:3mQAAOSwQdthbECi
This sounds like potential carnage, what a great idea, love it!
Now have a couple of new ebay searches and an eye out for something old.
Look at the head angle on this, could almost be a DH bike.
Great big long RaceFace post, couldn't put it down to lack of post insertion unfortunately. Either leg strength was too much for it 🤣 or I was unlucky.
These frames ride great, loved mine. Ran it singlespeed, rigid too but it unfortunately cracked and was a bit thin to fix. Drilled the crack ends, ghetto sprayed and rode it another year then finally got rid last month when it started to get worse.
Hmmm, never tried this. Assuming the sept 30th deadline is a copy/paste error...
Kevhls San Andreas circa 1998, build thread of sorts here: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/mountain-cycle-san-andreas-x2.398350/#post-3167279
Lower travel spec. it is with a set of SC Shivers.
The piggy back shock limits the adjustment and I wanted to run a slacker head angle and lower the BB on the original bike so I played about with a couple of different shocks and made an offset bush for this one.
Had a few options for forks and with the adjustability in the frame it could be setup in a number of ways.
Risse Champs? Look great but they're just really, really bad forks. They're pretty short a-c for the travel (which isn't that impressive either)
Bombers of some sort? I put on some QR20s...
The silver/chrome one whilst in lovely condition wasn't built as I'd have one, so I figured I could do something different with this one.
It didn't look very pretty though so needed stripping, painting, polishing, etc.
Never bothered updating this, lots of things have happened over the past couple of years.
Between lockdowns in 2020 I picked up another project, I'll add it to this thread as I've ended up combining the two bikes.
I bet there's some interesting stuff in there, your signature covers a huge amount of interesting bikes would love to see the barn!
I'm not close enough to get a van and come over but I'm in the area next week with a roof rack and estate car, would be interested to know what you're getting rid...
