Living in France and buying much online, I can say with experience, even the better couriers like DPD or UPS are fine until the item arrives in a French depot. Then it goes wrong literally every time. My Moots came from Steamboat Springs in Colorado fine, until it got to the local UPS depot...

I'm not sure there was one for '86&'87 tbh. I looked high and low in both years at the time and I didn't find printed material until '88 with the £5k(!) Prestige in it. There were stand alone full page ads for Couriers in '87 mags but that's as far as i got finding any.

Some good thoughts here. Thanks. there are loads of smaller or more obscure ones that could be pulled out but a key is 'well known or famous'. Probably as obvious as it is, Klein's winning so far. Was my first thought too.

In your opinion, which is the most famous/ respected cycle brand, either MTB or Road (or both), that no longer exists? A pioneering brand that burned brightly but burned out. Thanks, Gus

1987. The '86 looked the same but had riser bars and non index gears. The flat bar with XC5000 Suntour indexed shifters was the 1987 year model.
