I have just stripped my bike for a rebuild and I have a loose part off one of the components on the work top, see image. the parts are deore lx and dx from 1994 and I have no idea what its off. any ideas? cheers

cheers fellas. I'm keen to get the rust off the forks, what do u suggest as simple metal polish and wire wool doesnt quite do it. have u seen any similar queries on the forum before?
